(14-2), born 1855, Olrig, Caithness. Living at 28 Brown Place,
Caithness at 1881 census, occupation shoemaker, employing two people.
Died Kyneton, Victoria, Australia 1920 (Reg. No. 10908), aged 65. Buried Kyneton Cemetery. Had been in Victoria seven or eight years at time of death from chronic bronchitis & asthma. Death certificate shows married Ellen SUTHERLAND c. 1873 & records two sons - John Alexander (15-4), aged 32, & Robert Christopher, aged 27. Robert may have stayed in Scotland, but John came to Australia.
